The Raja Saab Sold For Rs 180 Crore In Telugu states?

Film distributors are eying on massive response in film collection for The Raja Saab

If trade circles are to be believed, Prabhas’ much-hyped upcoming film The Raja Saab has fetched a massive price in the Telugu states. According to industry sources, the film’s theatrical rights in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been sold for Rs 180 crore, making it one of the highest deals ever for a Telugu star in the two states.

“This is the biggest price ever paid for a Prabhas film in the Telugu market,” a source from the trade revealed. “His earlier blockbusters like Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD were reportedly sold for under Rs 160 crore in the Telugu states. This time, despite being a horror comedy, The Raja Saab has struck a fancy deal.”

People Media Factory and Mythri Movie Makers have reportedly joined hands to release the film across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The distributors are said to be eyeing a massive release on January 9, with plans to secure close to 900 theatres across the two states.

“Openings are extremely crucial for star-driven films of this scale. With Prabhas’ crowd-pulling ability, the distributors are aiming for a wide release to ensure strong initial collections and recover their investment quickly,” the source added.

Notably, Mythri Movie Makers had also distributed Prabhas’ Salaar and are once again backing The Raja Saab, banking on the actor’s box office consistency and fan following. Trade analysts believe that if the film opens well during the Sankranthi season, it could justify the record-breaking theatrical valuation and reinforce Prabhas’ standing as one of the most bankable stars in Indian cinema.
