Speculation Mounts Over Potential Mahesh Babu and Prashanth Neel Collaboration
Mahesh is busy with SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film, Varanasi.
Director Prashanth Neel needs no introduction, having gained global attention with the KGF franchise and Salaar. Currently, he is working on Dragon, which features Jr NTR in the lead role. The first glimpse of Dragon released on Jr NTR’s birthday was loved by all.
Reports are now circulating that Mahesh Babu is likely to team up with Neel for a project. It is currently unclear whether this news is true or merely speculation.
Interestingly, the filmmaker has hinted that he might move away from his trademark dark action themes to focus on other genres.
He is also set to begin work on Salaar 2 featuring Prabhas. Meanwhile, Mahesh is busy with SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film, Varanasi. Therefore, any collaboration between Mahesh Babu and Prashanth Neel could take a couple of years to materialize.
Neel will be putting an end to his kind of neo-noir action thrillers. When he explores mythological themes, it will be a huge shift. If Mahesh becomes a part of such a change, it will be a befitting follow-up to Varanasi.
