Sobhita Dhulipala Gets Into Action Mode, Avoids Body Double
Speaking about their collaboration, Ranjith called Sobhita a “brilliant actor” and revealed that she performed all her action sequences without relying on a stunt double.

Sobhita Dhulipala, wife of Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, is taking on a physically demanding role in Pa. Ranjith’s upcoming Vettuvam, and the filmmaker has praised her commitment to the project.
Speaking about their collaboration, Ranjith called Sobhita a “brilliant actor” and revealed that she performed all her action sequences without relying on a stunt double.
“I have watched a lot of her work, and I have been wanting to work with her for a long time, and she also has been wanting to work with me and it happened with this one. This collaboration has happened. She’s a brilliant actor. Every actor has given their best for sure. Sobhita did not do even one shot with the help of a dupe. Everything was her. The dupe or the stunt doubles would only be there for the camera rehearsals, but ultimately, she would come and perform it, because we wanted that authenticity, and she gave it her 100%,” Ranjith said.
For Sobhita, the physical demands of Vettuvam required her to go well beyond the usual preparation for a role. Speaking about the choreography and action involved in the film, she said, “Some of the things we are doing here in this film, it takes 15 years or 20 years of practice to achieve that kind of choreography, but every single shoot day we did the stunts with a lot of spirit and teamwork.”
The filmmaker’s praise for her commitment, coupled with Sobhita’s own account of the demands of the shoot, offers a glimpse into the effort that has gone into bringing her character to life in Vettuvam.
