Hyderabad: Veteran playback singer S Janaki died at a private hospital in Mysuru on Saturday due to age-related ailments.
The mortal remains of legendary playback singer S. Janaki will be kept at Maharaja Grounds from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, allowing fans, family members, friends, and well-wishers to pay their last respects. Her last rites will be performed at 5 p.m. at the family's private farm.
Speaking to the media, Congress leader Yathindra Siddaramaiah said, "We request all of S. Janaki's fans to come and pay their last respects to Janaki madam. Our Chief Minister has directed that all arrangements be made to ensure she is accorded full respect and dignity. Her mortal remains will be kept at Maharaja Grounds from 8 a.m., where fans, family members, and friends can pay their last respects. We have also directed the district administration to make all the necessary arrangements, including security."
