Rashmika, Pooja Hegde Were Considered for Lenin Item Song, Reveals Thaman
Thaman has shifted his focus to Megastar Chiranjeevi's 158th film.
Lenin is actor Akhil Akkineni's latest release. Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, the romantic action drama features Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead.
In his latest interview, music composer SS Thaman shared a surprising detail about a missing sequence in the movie. He revealed that the makers had initially planned a special item song featuring Rayalaseema slang. He composed the track, and the team considered casting popular actresses like Rashmika Mandanna, Pooja Hegde, or Preity Mukhundhan (Kannappa fame). Just before shooting began, the filmmakers decided to scrap the song entirely. They felt it would interrupt the flow of the narrative and draw negative feedback in reviews.
Thaman admitted that he was upset initially by the decision. He event exited the film's official WhatsApp groups in frustration. Things got sorted later.
Meanwhile, Thaman has shifted his focus to Megastar Chiranjeevi's 158th film. He mentioned watching an impressive footage clip of Chiranjeevi recently.
Expressing complete confidence in the project, the composer of films like They Call Him OG and Daaku Maharaaj predicted that the movie would become a blockbuster hit. He hinted that fans will get a clearer picture around August 22.
