They have erected a massive arena set on the outskirts of Hyderabad for filming grand sequences.

Rana Daggubati may be gearing up for another powerful negative role if industry buzz is anything to go by. According to sources, the actor-producer is reportedly being considered to play the antagonist in Mirai 2 since it would raise the bar on the big ticket entertainer. The film is being backed by People Media Factory. “Discussions are underway, but nothing is fixed yet,” a source reveals.
Mirai has emerged as one of the most successful supernatural films in Teja Sajja’s career and has also made a notable impact in Tollywood. Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, the film is once again grabbing attention as work on the sequel has reportedly begun quietly.
They have erected a massive arena set on the outskirts of Hyderabad for filming grand sequences. Shooting for Mirai 2 has also commenced in Vizag, where a few scenes were recently shot,” the source adds.
Rana began his acting journey as a lead actor with Sekhar Kammula’s Leader and followed it up with films like Nenu Na Rakshasi, Naa Ishtam and Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum. However, it was his portrayal of the ruthless Bhallaladeva in Baahubali that established him as a versatile performer capable of handling intense and powerful roles.
He also impressed audiences with his performances in films such as Baby and Ghazi, and later delivered another blockbuster with Nene Raju Nene Mantri, where he played a corrupt politician. In recent years, Rana has largely focused on production and supporting concept-driven cinema. If the Mirai 2 reports turn out to be true, it could mark another exciting addition to his acting career.
