Nani Takes on Complex Split Personality Role Drawing Comparisons to Vikram

Going by the teaser and trailer, it looks like reigning star Nani is playing a split personality in his upcoming film ‘Saripodaa Sanivaaram’ and is seen in multiple shades in this action adventure. “He is seen as a common man cycling a rickshaw and driving a scooter in a few frames and has a fiery monster in other frames, yet looks confused at times,” says a source. If he is not playing a dual role, then he is essaying a very challenging role in his career. “He is a very talented actor and could showcase both softer and fiery shades with ease. He goes on killing sprees on Saturdays and is quite normal the other days,’ he adds.

However, his dual personality is bound to draw comparison with Vikram’s complex role in ‘Aparachitudu’. “Vikram also played a hapless and honest lawyer hailing from a Brahmin family in the film. He is frustrated with evil doings around him. Another personality ‘Aparachidutudu’ crops out of him, who is fearless and ruthless and punishes evil doers without any mercy. Vikram delivered an extraordinary performance and his ‘Aparachitudu’ role is etched in the mind of Telugu audience since he punishes people who are corrupt and careless in society,” he points out.

Instead of doing a routine action adventure, Nani preferred this ‘rivetting’ role to showcase his versatility and try out something different from ordinary. “But he cannot avoid comparisons with Vikram, if the character has multiple shades,” he concludes.
