Nagarjuna Seeks Blessings of Shirdi Sai Baba on New Year’s Day

Akkineni Nagarjuna began the New Year on a spiritual note by visiting the samadhi of Shirdi Sai Baba on January 1, seeking divine blessings for his landmark 100th film. A devout follower of Sai Baba, the seasoned actor expressed deep gratitude after the darshan, saying, “I had a feeling that Sai Baba had been calling me for a long time, but the opportunity to have his darshan finally came today.”
Nagarjuna, who famously portrayed Shirdi Sai Baba in the 2012 devotional film Shirdi Sai, said he felt truly blessed after the visit. The actor is gearing up to complete his 100th film in 2026, marking a historic milestone in his illustrious career spanning several decades.
The centenary film is tentatively titled Lottery King and is expected to be a major highlight in Nagarjuna’s filmography. During his visit, he was felicitated by Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan CEO Goraksh Gadilkar, who honoured the actor with a shawl and an idol of Sai Baba. Nagarjuna has been visiting Shirdi regularly, reflecting his strong faith and spiritual commitment.
With over 90 films to his credit, Nagarjuna is widely regarded as one of Telugu cinema’s most versatile and enduring stars. He is a two-time National Film Award winner for Ninne Pelladatha (1996) and Annamayya (1997), and his contributions to Indian cinema continue to inspire both audiences and industry peers.
