Naga Vamsi's Comment Triggers Sharp Response From Exhibitor Suniel Narang
Asian Cinemas, in a social media post today, stated that single screens built a cinema culture.

Cinema exhibitors (particularly owners of single-screens) from Telangana have been demanding the introduction of a percentage-based revenue-sharing system. Most producers are against this proposal, considering that it will eat into their share of revenue.
On Wednesday, the clash intensified after a press meet held by producers like Y Ravi Shankar (Pushpa fame) and Naga Vamsi (of Sithara Entertainments banner). Naga Vamsi passed a comment on Asian Cinemas' Suniel Narang, one of the biggest names in the exhibition sector. Soon after the presser, Narang spoke to a TV channel and hit out at Vamsi, calling him someone who wears a wig. He added that he runs several single-screens and is a well-wisher of the exhibition sector. "The percentage system will at least help these theatres survive. That's our only goal," he added.
Asian Cinemas, in a social media post today, stated that single screens built a cinema culture. "We are trying to bring that magic back. Proud to continue this journey alongside D. Suresh Babu garu, who has already played a key role in renovating 65 single screens across Andhra Pradesh. Five more single screens next in line for renovation," the page added.
At the time of writing, Naga Vamsi didn't react to Suniel Narang's outburst.
