Varun Tej has certainly managed to draw decent openings, especially considering his recent outings. His multi-faceted performance appears to have helped the film maintain momentum, with the horror comedy reportedly collecting Rs 3.16 crore on day one and Rs 3.12 crore on day two. The film is now looking to close the weekend on a strong note."It was traded for Rs 12 crore and it is likely to break even sooner than later," he points out.
The film has received a mixed response across centres, but comedian Satya has emerged as one of its biggest highlights with his antics and one-liners. “Satya has made winners out of the Mathu Vadalara franchise and has once again showcased his spark in Korean Kanagaraju. He is proving to be one of the winning comedians in Tollywood,” the exhibitor points out.
After tasting success with comedy in F2, Varun Tej once again explored the genre in Korean Kanagaraju. However, a distributor feels the gangster angle could have been avoided. “Varun is very good at comedy and audiences enjoy his comic timing. If they had focused more on his comic side instead of the gangster stuff, the film could have made even more money,” he adds.
