Superstar Jr NTR showered praise on veteran actress Vijayashanti, hailing her as the one and only "female superstar" of Indian cinema. Speaking at the pre-release event of Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi, which features his brother Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Jr NTR expressed deep admiration for the legendary actress.
“She is the pride of Telugu cinema,” said Jr NTR. “Her performances in films like Karthavyam and Prathigatana gave her nationwide fame and cemented her as the true lady superstar—something no one else could replicate.” He added that her presence at the event reminded him of his late father, actor Hari Krishna. “She fills that emotional void we feel during such grand occasions.”
As fans cheered and shouted during the event, Jr NTR asked for a moment of quiet. “It might be a while before I come back to speak to you again, so please let me have this moment,” he requested, clearly emotional and heartfelt.
