If reliable sources are to be believed, reigning Bollywood queen Janhvi Kapoor is reportedly drawing a hefty and fancy remuneration for her debut Telugu film ‘Devara’. “She is drawing Rs 10 crore plus for playing the heroine to superstar NTR and it is highest payment for any actress in Tollywood,” says a source and adds, “She has surpassed her arch-rivals like Pooja Hegde, Rashmika and Sreeleela who are drawing around Rs 4 crore per film,” he adds.
She has cited her rising popularity in Bollywood and also about her expanding brand equity across India and got her remuneration. “She is quite popular on social media since her first look in a village belle avatar in ‘Devara’ created a storm on the Internet since she boasts of millions of fans. These days, actresses' pay is not just decided by their hits and flops, but also their leverage on social media is also taken into account,” he points out.
No doubt, Sridevi's daughter has an edge over her rivals. “She is already getting offers in Telugu and she is looking to do big ticket movies with superstars,” he adds,
He claims that she is actually a Bollywood actress and has done some Hindi films and is quite popular among Hindi-speaking viewers. She was seen in Hindi movies like ‘Milli and ‘Good Luck Jerry’. "Like her mother Sridevi, she could make a big splash in Telugu and south, before moving back to Hindi films as a south superstar,” he concludes.
