Is Priyanka Chopra Dubbing in Telugu for Varanasi? Here’s What We Know

Priyanka Chopra is returning to Indian cinema with the much-awaited film Varanasi. The film is progressing at a rapid pace, with regular shooting currently underway. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film also stars Superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role.
Reports have been circulating on social media regarding Priyanka Chopra’s Telugu dubbing for the film. However, producer KL Narayana clarified that the team has not made any decision yet. He stated that Priyanka is currently filming her Telugu portions using a mix of Telugu, Hindi, and English. Since the film will be released in multiple languages, the dubbing decision will be taken during the final stages of production.
If you recall, Priyanka mentioned during an Instagram Live session in 2025 that she was learning Telugu and hoped to dub for her role. It remains to be seen whether she will eventually lend her own voice to the character.
Priyanka’s first-look poster as Mandakini was unveiled on her birthday and received an overwhelming response from fans, critics, and audiences alike. The film's music has been composed by MM Keeravani.
