Dhurandhar 2 Outshines Baahubali 2 in North America?
The collections reportedly include $17.68 million from the United States and $10.96 million from Canada, making it the first Indian film to cross the $25 million mark in the territory.

If trade reports are to be believed, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has achieved a remarkable milestone in North America, surpassing the long-standing record of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion to emerge as the highest-grossing Indian film in the region.
Released worldwide on March 19, 2026, the Ranveer Singh starrer reportedly concluded its theatrical run with an impressive $28.64 million (approximately Rs 275 crore) from North America alone. The collections reportedly include $17.68 million from the United States and $10.96 million from Canada, making it the first Indian film to cross the $25 million mark in the territory.
The achievement is being viewed as a significant moment for Hindi cinema in overseas markets. Strong occupancy in key cities, sustained family audience support, positive word-of-mouth publicity, and repeat viewership are said to have contributed to the film's exceptional run. Premium-format screenings and fan-driven promotional events further boosted its performance.
For nearly a decade, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion remained the benchmark for Indian films in North America after setting the record in 2017. With Dhurandhar now reportedly taking the top spot, trade circles are celebrating a new chapter in overseas box-office history. Industry reports suggest that the makers of Baahubali have also congratulated the Dhurandhar team on the achievement.
Attention is now shifting to director S. S. Rajamouli's ambitious next venture, Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu. Scheduled for release on April 7, 2027, the film is said to be mounted on a massive scale with a globe-trotting narrative spanning multiple timelines and locations.
Given Rajamouli's extraordinary track record and Mahesh Babu's strong popularity among overseas audiences, particularly in the United States, many trade analysts believe Varanasi could emerge as the next serious contender to challenge the benchmark reportedly set by Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
