Dear Comrade Hindi Remake Looks Doubtful
Putting the speculation to rest, Siddhant Chaturvedi took to social media to deny any involvement with the project

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Dear Comrade, directed by Bharat Kamma, was released in 2019 and received a positive response from audiences and critics alike. Ever since its release, speculation has been rife about a possible Hindi remake of the film.
For a long time, rumours suggested that filmmaker Karan Johar had acquired the remake rights of Dear Comrade and was planning to mount the project with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Pratibha Ranta in the lead roles. However, those reports now appear to be unfounded.
Putting the speculation to rest, Siddhant Chaturvedi took to social media to deny any involvement with the project. “Just to clarify, guys – this isn’t true,” he wrote, adding that he would nevertheless be keen to collaborate with Pratibha Ranta on an original film in the future. “Anyhow, I’d love to collaborate with the supremely talented @pratibha_ranta on something original. Looking forward,” he added.
Pratibha Ranta also responded, urging media outlets to avoid spreading unverified information. “With due respect, I kindly request all media pages to please refrain from posting or circulating any unverified information and wait for an official announcement,” she stated.
She further expressed concern over the repeated circulation of false reports linking her to projects she is not associated with. “This has been happening with me for quite some time now, with several projects that I am not associated with, which often leads to unnecessary confusion. I would truly appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and continued support in this matter,” she added.
With both actors publicly distancing themselves from the project, the much-discussed Hindi remake of Dear Comrade now appears uncertain, unless an official announcement from the makers clarifies the situation.
