Chiranjeevi, Sarath Kumar Set for Reunion After 35 Years?

While the project is currently in the pre-production stage, fresh casting updates are generating considerable buzz.

Following the blockbuster success of Waltair Veerayya, Megastar Chiranjeevi is reuniting with director Bobby Kolli for his 158th film. While the project is currently in the pre-production stage, fresh casting updates are generating considerable buzz.

According to industry sources, veteran actor Sarath Kumar has been roped in for a pivotal role. If finalized, the film will mark his third collaboration with Chiranjeevi after Gang Leader (1991) and Stuartpuram Police Station (1991). While Gang Leader emerged as a blockbuster, Stuartpuram Police Station failed at the box office. Fans are now eager to see how the duo's reunion shapes up after nearly 35 years.

Reports also suggest that Bobby has written another crucial character with negative shades. The actor to play the role is yet to be finalized, but the character is expected to have a significant impact on the story.

Another highlight is Chiranjeevi's look. The Megastar is said to sport a completely different appearance during an extended flashback episode in the second half. Sources reveal that his character will have multiple shades, offering him ample scope to showcase varied emotions and screen presence.

Unlike Waltair Veerayya, which relied heavily on mass entertainment, Chiranjeevi's 158th film is expected to strike a balance between family emotions and commercial elements. Bobby is reportedly aiming to present the Megastar in a fresh avatar rather than repeating familiar formulas.

Being mounted on a lavish scale by KVN Productions, the film has already generated high expectations. With Waltair Veerayya ranking among Chiranjeevi's biggest recent hits, fans are hoping the actor-director duo can recreate the magic with a fresh story and an engaging entertainer.
