My brother Vadan and I Laughed It Off, Says Brahmanandam

Star comedian Brahmanandam has clarified that there are no differences between him and his elder brother Vadan, following Vadan’s recent comments about their lack of communication.

Brahmanandam released a video to clear the air and said he did not want anyone to misunderstand his brother. “I am coming out with this clarification since no one should take my brother wrongly. I happened to see the news. The media and some others misunderstood the situation, so I wanted to clarify,” he said.

Brahmanandam stressed that he has remained in touch with Vadan over the years and revealed that the two brothers had even discussed the video. “We both talked about it and laughed it off. We have no differences,” he said.

He further added that Vadan himself was worried after seeing the reports and reiterated that their relationship remains strong. Brahmanandam said the bonding between the brothers is good and that there is no issue between them.

Earlier, Vadan had spoken to Telugu news channels and expressed his disappointment over what he described as a lack of communication from his younger brother. He said four of their siblings had passed away and that only the two brothers remain.

Vadan said he now lives alone in their hometown and felt hurt that Brahmanandam does not enquire about his well-being or even call him.

“We were siblings; four have passed away, and only two of us remain. I am the only one left here in our hometown, all alone. He visited the town recently but left without even exchanging a word of greeting. I keep hoping that my younger brother might call someday and ask, ‘Annayya, how are you?’ But he never calls me,” Vadan had said.

While acknowledging that Brahmanandam is a busy actor with professional commitments, Vadan said he believed his brother could still spare a few minutes to stay in touch.

“He is a big actor. He might be busy with film shootings, but he can surely spare one or two minutes to call me,” he said, expressing his anguish over the lack of communication.

With Brahmanandam now clarifying that there is no misunderstanding or dispute between the brothers, the issue is likely to die down soon.
