Balakrishna-Koratala Siva Film on Hold? Budget Revision On Cards?

The budget is reportedly emerging as the major hurdle, with the project said to have been planned at a cost of around ₹150 crore.

Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Koratala Siva’s much-discussed collaboration, tentatively referred to as NBK112, had generated considerable buzz when it was announced. Planned as a large-scale action entertainer, the project was expected to be mounted on a lavish budget.

However, the film is now facing uncertainty, according to industry buzz. The budget is reportedly emerging as the major hurdle, with the project said to have been planned at a cost of around ₹150 crore.

Sources suggest that Balakrishna has become increasingly cautious about taking risks with high-budget projects and is keen to maintain a balance between scale and commercial recovery. Since the Koratala Siva directorial demands a substantial investment, the actor is reportedly thinking twice about committing to such a financial risk.

The makers are said to be discussing whether the film’s scale can be reduced to bring down the budget or whether the project should be reconsidered altogether. However, there is no official confirmation yet that the film has been shelved.

For now, reports of the Balakrishna-Koratala Siva project being cancelled remain industry speculation, with the budget reportedly cited as the key concern.
