Balakrishna and Vijayashanti to Team Up Again?

If sources are to be believed, Nandamuri Balakrishna is set to reunite with veteran actress Vijayashanti for his upcoming film with director Koratala Siva.

“Balakrishna will pair up with Vijayashanti in this family drama, which is said to be packed with action. Since Balakrishna is reportedly playing dual roles — one young and one older — Vijayashanti could be paired opposite his older character. However, nothing has been finalised yet,” says a source.

The Balakrishna–Vijayashanti combination has delivered several memorable blockbusters in the past, including Rowdy Inspector, Muddula Krishnayya, Muvva Gopaludu and Nippu Ravva. Their on-screen pairing was considered one of the most successful and popular combinations in Tollywood, particularly among the fans of both stars.

“Balakrishna and Vijayashanti were considered a lucky combination, and their films enjoyed tremendous craze among audiences. Bringing them together again would certainly create considerable buzz,” adds the source.

Vijayashanti, who has been making selective appearances in recent years, was seen in films such as Sarileru Neekevvaru and S/o Satyamurthy. If everything falls into place, she could now reunite with her favourite co-star Balakrishna after several years.

However, an official confirmation regarding Vijayashanti’s casting is awaited.
