Ashwini Dutt Recalls NTR, Happy to Have Introduced Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun

Veteran director K. Raghavendra Rao praised the legacy of Vyjayanthi Movies

Veteran producer Ashwini Dutt fondly recalled his long and illustrious journey in the Telugu film industry while speaking at the launch event of Srinivasa Mangapuram. He remembered making Eduruleni Manishi with the legendary NTR in 1975 and Yuga Purushudu in 1977, after which his banner, Vyjayanthi Movies, never looked back.

“Just taking NTR garu’s name gives me goosebumps,” said Ashwini Dutt. He also reminisced about his association with Superstar Krishna, with whom he delivered the blockbuster Agni Parvatham.

“It has been 52 years since I entered the industry. If not for Raghavendra Rao garu, I would not have reached this level. I thank all the heroes, heroines, actors and technicians who supported me throughout my journey. I have worked with legends like NTR and Krishna. I was fortunate to introduce Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun to the industry, and now I am introducing Jayakrishna, Krishna garu’s grandson,” he said.

Veteran director K. Raghavendra Rao praised the legacy of Vyjayanthi Movies. “I have been associated with the banner for many years. Agni Parvatham with Krishna garu was a sensational success. Later, Rajakumarudu, which introduced Mahesh Babu, also became a blockbuster. Now, Ghattamaneni Jayakrishna is being launched as a hero under the same banner. Additionally, Rasha Thadani, daughter of my favorite heroine Raveena Tandon, is making her debut as a heroine with Srinivasa Mangapuram,” he said.

Producer Adiseshagiri Rao, brother of Superstar Krishna, expressed confidence in Jayakrishna’s future. “I believe Ramesh Babu’s blessings will always be with Jayakrishna. Likewise, Krishna garu’s blessings will guide him. Jayakrishna studied filmmaking in New York, and we felt there could be no better platform for his debut than a film produced by Dutt garu,” he said.

Debutant hero Jayakrishna Ghattamaneni expressed his gratitude on the occasion of his grandfather Krishna’s birth anniversary. “It is a great pleasure to meet all of you on my grandfather Krishna garu’s birthday. He is like God to me, and I cannot express my admiration for him in words. I believe his blessings will always be with me. Srinivasa Mangapuram is my first film. I am also a huge fan of my uncle, Mahesh Babu, who has been extremely supportive and encouraging throughout this journey,” he said.
