Allu Aravind Backs M.S. Subbulakshmi Biopic
Allu Aravanid has produced big ticket movies with Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun and Ram charan and also 'Ghazini' with Aamir Khan in Hindi to establish his banner across India.
After making female-centric film 'The Girlfriend' with Rashmika, veteran producer Allu Aravind is backing an ambitious biopic on legendary singer and Bharat Ratna awardee M.S. Subbulakshmi, joining hands with Rockline Venkatesh and Bunny Vas for the prestigious project.
The makers officially announced the film today on the occasion of M.S. Subbulakshmi’s 110th birth anniversary at a grand event held at The Music Academy in Chennai. The biopic aims to bring the extraordinary life and musical journey of one of India’s most celebrated voices to the big screen on a grand scale.
National Crush Rashmika Mandanna has been roped in to portray M.S. Subbulakshmi, while talented filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri will direct the project. Renowned composer Anirudh Ravichander is on board to provide the music.
For Allu Aravind, the project marks another ambitious attempt to bring an iconic personality and a culturally significant story to a wider audience. With Rashmika leading the cast and Gowtam Tinnanuri at the helm, the film is being planned as a prestigious pan-India production with high technical and production values.
