FTPC to hold Indo-Sri Lanka cinema summit in Colombo

VIJAYAWADA: Film and Television Promotion Council (FTPC) of India will be organising an Indo-Sri Lankan Cinema Exchange Summit at Colombo in September to enhance the partnership between the film industries of the two countries.

FTPC president Chaitanya Janga said Sri Lankan government officials, film personalities, artists, technical experts and representatives of 24 crafts will participate in the summit.

He underlined that the FTPC executive committee visited Sri Lanka before deciding to organise the summit. The committee members met several eminent figures, including Sri Lankan ministers Sathasivam Viyalanderan and Nalin Perera, MP Vajira Abeywardena and inspector general of police Chandana Wickramaratne and held detailed talks with them on holding of the summit.
