The Shashtipoorthi celebrations (60th birthday) of Sai Kumar was organised with great fanfare by his children on July 24. There was a grand get-together of his family, friends and well-wishers.
Sai Kumar’s son Aadi says, “We were apprehensive initially because of Covid-19, but we went ahead, ensuring that all protocols were maintained. All the guests underwent RT-PCR tests.”
“My dad’s childhood friends, well-wishers, and industry colleagues from different places dropped by and extended their good wishes,” he shares, adding that all the rituals took place as per Telugu customs. While the mehendi ceremony took place at his residence, the Shastipoorthi, and homam were conducted at a convention centre.
“Dad was so emotional to see the turnout even during this pandemic. He thanked everyone for their presence and blessings. Chiranjeevi garu said the large number of guests was a reflection of the love my father commands,” Aadi added.
