The shooting of Varun Tej’s forthcoming space thriller is currently underway in Tamil Nadu, at the school in Rameshwaram where former Indian President, the late Abdul Kalam studied. Both Varun and leading lady Aditi Rao are playing astronauts in the film.
Interestingly, Abdul Kalam was also an aeronautic scientist, which is what the film’s director Sankalp Reddy seems keen to establish.
Confirming the connection, he says, “Varun is inspired by Abdul Kalam in the film, so we wanted to shoot some scenes at places where Kalam studied for authenticity.”
Sankalp adds that 70 percent of the film has been completed. “Varun and Aditi’s portrayals are going to be very different and that makes it even more interesting for the audience. We are confident that the film will strike a chord with the audience at the box-office.”
