After starring in entertainers like Kerintha and Nandini Nursing Home, Nithya Naresh will be making her Malayalam debut with E. Directed by Kukku Surendran, the suspense-thriller revolves around a mother-daughter relationship. Talking about the film, Nithya says, “I play Athira, Gautami’s daughter, an independent yet loving character. The film also has elements of sentiment and friendship, and we shot it in a single schedule. I bonded big time with Gautami ma’am, and was floored by her humility.”
Recalling an incident, she reveals, “I was nervous intially, but after working with her I realised that she’s sweet, helpful and grounded. I remember that for one of the scenes, my hair was falling on the side, but instead of waiting for the hairstylist, she took pins and adjusted it herslef. So she was like my mom off the screen too.”
