Ruhani Sharma was in a euphoric mood after the back-to-back successes of her debut film, Chi La Sow, and Hit. The actress is keen to continue doing substantial roles.
“I am lucky to have landed substantial roles in my first two films. I think that’s a great confidence booster, given that I was totally new to the industry,” says Ruhani, adding that her upcoming films under director M.S. Raju and Avasarala Srinivas are meaty too.
“The only way to get noticed is to pick up unique roles and give them your own spin; add versatility to the role so that it grabs eyeballs. This is what I learnt during my first two films,” she explains, adding that she’s also fortunate that filmmakers asked her to be her natural self in all her films
“One of the significant factors in picking a role is its suitability to our real self. I believe I have to look for roles with a natural connect so that I can excel in them,” she adds. The actress is also taking Telugu lessons.
“When you know the meaning of the lines and understand the language, you can better express yourself. I felt there’s no better time than the lockdown to pick up Telugu under an online tutor,” she adds....
