Mythri Movies had planned a grand launch for Mahesh Babu’s next film, which it is producing.
The function was to have been held on Sunday (May 31), to coincide with his father, superstar Krishna’s birthday. However, due to the current situation, the filmmakers were considering toning it down to a low-key event.
Now, Mahesh Babu has advised against even this. He has suggested that the film be launched digitally instead, by sending an official press note.
“It is true that we earlier had plans of launching the film on a grand scale, but we have now decided against it,” says Ravi Shankar, one of the producers.
“Even a low-key event connected with a superstar’s film would invite a minimum of 100 guests. Mahesh suggested that we avoid any gathering and stick to a digital launch in the form of a press statement, under the prevailing circumstances,” he elaborated.
The action drama will be directed by Parasuram of Geetha Govindam fame. And if all goes well, the principal shooting will commence in July....
