No censor issues: Madhura Sreedhar
The first look of director Vamsy’s Fashion Designer s/o Ladies Tailor set off a controversy on social media and while many thought that the film would face problems with the censor board, it was passed without any problem. “The film was given a certificate without any major cuts. The members only asked to remove a couple of words, but apart from that, there were no issues,” says the film’s producer, Madhura Sreedhar.
Talking about the controversial poster, Sreedhar explains, “I am not defending it, but the poster was alright. A few people reacted on social media, but no one asked me anything personally. In fact, I checked with a few girls I know before we released it and only after they said that it’s alright, I released it.”
Looking back at his four year journey with the film, he says, “I thought of the story and told Vamsy garu to develop it. I wanted a complete village backdrop film and then thought of this sequel.” The producer admits that he first roped in Raj Tarun for the film and wanted B.V.S. Ravi as director. “But, it did not materialise and finally, this film happened with Sumanth Ashwin,” he recalls.
“I wanted to check the quality of the film before its release and showed it to a few students, family members and distributors to get their feedback. I also gave them a form to fill and am completely satisfied with their remarks,” says Madhura Sreedhar.
