Director Satish Vegesna's Sankranti release Shatamanam Bhavati has been raking in the moolah at the box office, and is now making news for another reason. Apparently, the Oscar Academy for Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has requested the film’s publicity material for their archives. In general one has to apply for the same.

The Oscar library collects materials like scripts, news articles and other valuable information related to films to document the art and science of motion pictures. The library also collects the film’s marketing and publicity material, which is how this film’s press kit interested them.

The film opened to average reviews upon release but the makers spent quite a lot on the film’s promotion and new marketing methods were adopted. Starring Sharwanand and Anupama Parameswaran, the film talks about family values and traditions and has a rural backdrop.
