After failing to impress with her poorly-etched roles in films like ‘Skanda’ and ‘Adhikesava’, Telugu actress Sreeleela has another hurdle to cross and it is her upcoming film ‘Extra Ordinary Man.’ “Going by the trailer, she looks gorgeous in songs and looks to be playing the usual lover girl role. If it turns out to be true, it could dent her ratings a bit since the film is purely hero-centric,” says a source and adds, “Probably, she signed these films in early stage of her career before offers with Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan and Ravi Teja came around,” he adds.
She played the usual lover girl roles in ‘Skanda’ and ‘Adhikesava’ and she was just there to romance heroes and showcase her dancing skills in songs. “She played a meaty role in ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ with almost equal footage with Balakrishna. She had scope to perform and also did some action sequences with ease,” he adds.
Retaining her new-found stardom is not an easy task for a pretty actress. "She has to be choosy about her roles since her poorly-etched roles in few films are bound to pull her image down,” he points out.
However, she hopes her next big ticket release ‘Guntur Kaaram’ with Mahesh Babu will give her much-needed success. “She tasted success with ‘Dhamaka’ and became an overnight sensation. She is doing films with big stars like Pawan Kalyan (Ustaad Bhagat Singh) to catapult her to the top league. it is time for her to consolidate her position and pick the right ones,” he concludes.
