RGV retorts to TD leader’s criticism of his ensuing film

VIJAYAWADA: In a strong retort to Telugu Desam senior leader Pattabhi Ram’s criticism of his planned two-part film on political strategies and conspiracies, noted film director Ram Gopal Varma advised the leader to stay calm.

In an audio tape, RGV said he had met AP Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and discussed some issues. He wants to make a film on political issues and wondered why the TD leader has started criticising him, even though he has not mentioned the subject or anything about the film.

Referring to comments of the TD leader that he was a bad film director and made bad films, Ram Gopal Varma asked Pattabhi Ram why he was getting tensed and creating panic within him and other TD leaders with regard to his ensuing film.

In a lighter vein, RGV described Pattabhi as a Rasagulla, which is sweet and juicy. He must not vent his anger like a chilli. He advised the TD leader to stay calm. Otherwise, levels of his blood pressure and sugar will go up, which may even cause his death.

The film director said as the TD leader’s family members needed him, he should stay calm.
