Actress Sai Pallavi is in demand. After the success of Fidaa, she has a lot going for her. While she has started working on Nani starrer MCA (Middle Class Abbayi), the latest is that she has been roped in to play the female lead in the sequel of Dhanush’s Maas (Maari in Tamil). The action comedy, which is presently titled Maari 2, is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual and will be helmed by director Balaji Mohan of Love Failure fame.
“The vibrant Sai Pallavi is the heroine of Maari 2. It’s a character that’s right at the heart of the film,” Balaji tweeted. Maas saw Dhanush playing a local rowdy, full of attitude, and had Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead. Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas has been roped in to play the antagonist in the sequel.
