Vijay Deverakonda to turn Andhra abbayi!
After wowing one and all with his act in Arjun Reddy, actor Vijay Deverakonda is going to take a complete U-turn for his next couple of films. The actor, whose distinct Hyderabadi Telugu accent, with a tinge of Telangana, has become his identity, is apparently going to take up the challenge of neutralising his accent for one of his upcoming films.
While he is set to shoot for director Parasuram’s next film soon, Vijay also has debutant director Bharat Kamma’s film lined up, in which he will play a lad from Kakinada. “A part of the film will see Vijay as a college student, and will be shot in Kakinada. The film is an emotional love drama, which will show the protagonist’s life journey over a few years. Since his character hails from the beach city, his accent will be neutral as opposed to the Telangana dialect synonymous with him,” shares a source, adding that Vijay’s character will have a very intense edge to it.
In fact, this film has come after a long wait for the director. “The film was finalised even before Pelli Choopulu released. The director had discussed the script with Vijay soon after Yevade Subramanyam, as he felt the character was similar to what he had in mind for the new project,” adds the source.
