Days after getting engaged to her fiancé, Renu Desai quit her Twitter account, citing too much negativity on social media by fans of Pawan Kalyan (her ex-husband). Turns out the trolls are attacking her even on her Instagram page!
When one of the fans commented on her personal life recently, Renu lost her patience and posted, “Thank me forever as Kalyan garus fans, for me keeping silent on the topic of divorce for so many years! If I open my mouth and just state the facts of my divorce all this stupid arrogance of yours will go down the drain! (sic).”
Talking about the post, Renu shares, “The other day I posted a romantic poem and one of the haters started posting malicious comments.”
“I just don’t understand what problems these detractors have. I have not done anything wrong and why are these people behind me? I left Twitter because of negativity but now these haters are haunting me on my Instagram too.”
She adds, “I have maintained dignity about my divorce because of which I don’t like to speak about it. I was so upset with these relentless hate messages that I got emotional and angry, and gave an irritated reply.”
Renu also clarifies that she has never addressed the ‘fans’ directly on her social media pages.
“If you look at my Twitter or FB pages, I have never ever used the term ‘fans’ or ‘Pawan Kalyan fans’ anywhere, but have only described my haters as ‘detractors’. So how am I responsible for the misinterpretation by the media for terms that I have never used? This trolling has been there over the last five years. And it’s not just the males, but the females too,” she says.
On a funny note, she adds, “Now even my PR has to approach a psychiatrist for the kind of negative messages she has been reading. Although they keep telling me to ignore such hate messages, it does get very disturbing sometimes.”
