It is almost four years since actor Sunil last delivered a hit. The comedian who turned lead actor with Maryada Ramanna, continues to play the lead since then. Maryada Ramanna became a huge hit because of director S.S. Rajamouli, after which Sunil had another hit, Poola Rangadu, directed by Veerabhadram. Post that, the actor hasn’t starred in a successful film.
He worked in a multi-starrer Thadaka, which didn’t fare that well, but his last few films were rather miserable. “The problem with the actor is that he makes changes in the script, after the shoot starts. That’s the reason his last few films bombed,” says a source.
He is currently working on two films simultaneously, one of which is Ungarala Rambabu with director Kranthi Madhav. “The film shoot started over a year back, but is still in the post-production stage. The actor makes a lot of changes in the script. In one instance, the director wanted to get out of the project! But the makers pacified him and requested him to complete it,” added the source.
