Dasari Narayana Rao treated at his home

Though he is stable and normal, it will take time to recover completely.

Eminent director and producer Dasari Narayana Rao was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday after a two-month long treatment. The veteran director was admitted in a private hospital in Secunderabad on January 29 in a critical condition, but has remarkably improved.

“The treatment is going to continue at home as the doctors have set up a mini hospital at Dasari’s house. Twice every day, doctors from the hospital will visit him to check his health condition,” says a source close to Dasari. Though he is stable and normal, it will take time to recover completely.

On Tuesday, senior actor Mohan Babu visited Dasari’s house to enquire about his health. “Many people from the industry are visiting his house, but doctors have advised him to not speak much, and also reduce the number of visitors as it can cause infection,” says the source. Dasari’s nephew, Thandava Krishna is looking after his health and is the person who actually took him to the hospital, adds the source. The veteran director has paid nearly Rs 60 lakh towards the medical expenses so far. “It will take another month or two for the director to be able to walk,” adds the source.
