Anasuya Bharadwaj continues to cast her spell on the silver screen. The compere-actress, who routinely plays the leading lady, is also hogging the limelight with special songs.
In the upcoming film Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, Anasuya will be seen in a sizzling mass-appeal number. She has already commenced shooting for the song choreographed by Jani master.
Film director Koushik Pegallapati says it was the depth in the lyrics that prompted him to approach Anasuya. “We needed someone with fame and stature to carry off the meaning and message of the heavy lyrics. I believe Anasuya, who has a strong connect to the family and household audience with her television stint, is the perfect choice,” he says.
Revealing that the Rangasthalam star was initially reluctant to come on board, Koushik says, “I explained the concept of the song with tunes and lyrics with an unmixed version. She immediately liked it and green-lighted it.”
The clincher was apparently the way he justified the song’s positioning. “It’s not a special song just for the heck of it; it’s a meaningful special song with high lyrical value. I clearly explained the reason for the song in the narrative, and she was convinced,” he shares.
Talking about the Soggade Chinni Nayana actress’ costumes for the song, Koushik says, “She’ll sport an all-sari look and it’ll be aesthetically shot on Anasuya and protagonist Kartikeya Gummakonda.”
