Director Krish clears the air

Talking about his love for Chiranjeevi, he said, “My second film Vedam was with my closest friend Allu Arju''.

While director Krish’s speech at the audio launch of Gautamiputra Satakarni was seen as an emotional outburst by many, others took the phrase khabardaar — at the end of his speech — as a warning! In no time, social media was abuzz with news that the director was issuing a warning to Chiranjeevi, whose film Khaidi No. 150 is releasing for Sankranti along with his film.

The director quickly clarified his stance. “I uttered the word with pure anguish for not giving a place to Telugu nativity in history. The word khabardar was used only for the sense of levity on Telugu people, who lived as Madrasis for ages,” he said.

Talking about his love for Chiranjeevi, he said, “My second film Vedam was with my closest friend Allu Arjun. My fourth film Kanche was with Varun Tej. Ram Charan is very close to me, since even before I entered the industry. Chiranjeevi is a great person who has invited me to his residence, hugged me, analyzed each and every scene in Kanche and congratulated me post release of the film. He is an inspiration to me. Please don’t look for flaws in my words.”
