Prakash Raj Apologises to Siddharth on Behalf of Kannadigas

Prakash Raj, expressing his regret through a video from the event, conveyed his sentiments on social media.

In the aftermath of an unfortunate incident that compelled Tamil actor Siddharth to leave his promotional event for the film "Chithha" in Bengaluru, actor and politician Prakash Raj has taken a step forward to extend his apology to Siddharth on behalf of the compassionate Kannadigas.

Prakash Raj, expressing his regret through a video from the event, conveyed his sentiments on X (formerly known as Twitter). He stated, "Instead of questioning all the political parties and their leaders for their inability to resolve this age-old issue... Instead of pointing fingers at the ineffectual parliamentarians who are failing to pressure the central government into action... Disturbing ordinary citizens and artists like this cannot be condoned. As a fellow Kannadiga, on behalf of the entire Kannadiga community, I extend my apologies to #Siddharth. #justasking."

The incident unfolded during Siddharth's promotion of his new film "Chithha" in Bengaluru when a group of pro-Kannada protestors entered the venue, raising slogans and demanding the actor's departure. The demonstrators argued that it was not the appropriate time for his promotional activities, given the ongoing demand from Tamil Nadu for Cauvery River water from Karnataka.

According to a PTI report, the individuals disrupting Siddharth's press event were identified as members of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Swabhimani Sene.
