Although the shooting for Naga Chaitanya’s next film, Savyasachi, (directed by Chandoo Mondeti), was scheduled to begin on September 20, according to sources, it has not been kicked off yet. Additionally, while some media reports claim that Naga Chaitanya does not want to do an action film again, others suggest that another writer has claimed that it is his story, which is leading to the delay.
However, the team of Savyasachi has denied all of these reports, calling them baseless. A source from the unit says, “The film needs lot of computer graphics and workshops. Also, they want to start shooting with Vennela Kishore, but the comedian has been keeping busy. So the team has decided not to shoot in a hurry.”
The makers’ initial plan was to shoot from September 20 to 30, following which Naga Chaitanya wanted to oversee the arrangements of his wedding, which takes place in Goa on October 6. “With all the above reasons, the team decided to start shooting afresh after Chay’s wedding,” added the source.
Further, the Savyasachi team also denied the plagiarism reports. “One writer, Diamond Ratnam had said that the story resembled his story, but director Chandu met him and narrated his story, after which the matter was resolved immediately. Both the stories are different and both of them are satisfied,” said the source.
