Abhishek Nama, a leading distributor of Telugu cinema, is all set to enter production with a bang, by debuting with a biopic on badminton player, Pullela Gopichand, starring Sudheer Babu.
“The pre-production work of the movie, which will be directed by Praveen Sattaru, has been completed,” he says. The shooting of the Telugu-Hindi bilingual film will start in September.
Abhishek has announced some other production ventures — a big budget movie with director Boyapati Srinu, Bellamkonda Srinivas and Rakul Preet Singh. The movie, which has Devi Sri Prasad as the composer, will hit the screens on August 22. “We have also bought the remake rights of the Hindi film Hunterr,” he says. It will star Avasarala Srinivasa Rao and Regina Cassandra, and will be directed by Naveen Medaram.
Abhishek is also bringing together the Kshanam team. He has approached Adivi Sesh, Adah Sharma and Ravikanth Parepu. “We will start shooting for this film soon after we complete pre-production,” he says.
After the success of Swami Ra Ra, he plans to produce another film with actor Nikhil and director Sudheer Varma. The films are co-produced by Kaali Sudheer.
