Noted director Trinadha Rao Nakkina, who is basking in the success of ‘Dhamaka’, is all set to join hands with seasoned star Ravi Teja once again. He assures another big bang entertainer to enthrall Ravi’s fans and masses alike. He has a taste for good music and loves both soft and peppy numbers.
Q: We heard that you are joining hands with Ravi Teja once again and can we expect another ‘Dhamaka’?
A: It is true that we are joining hands once again. Ravi Teja has okayed the script in principle and we are working on it. Ace producer Dil Raju is bankrolling this big-budget film. I wish to assure Ravi Teja's fans and masses alike that it would be a lavish entertainer loaded with action and fun in equal measure. It will be more engaging than ‘Dhamaka’.
Q: Why do you like to tap into Ravi Teja’s flair for comedy?
A: Actually, Ravi Teja is a master of both comedy and action. He brings in a lot of energy even into the fun-centric scenes. His energy is quite contagious and spreads over to the entire team. He also excels in anger-driven avatars. So we have to blend these two contrasting emotions into his role to connect with his huge fan base. It is always great to work with Ravi Teja because he is friendly and jovial besides working with him is always stress-free.
Q: You made your mark with soft love stories like ‘Nenu Local’ and ‘Hello Guru Prema Kosame’? How come you jumped into the action directors’ bandwagon?
A: I do admit that initially, I tasted success with tender love stories. When I got an opportunity to work with a star like Ravi Teja, I had to change my style and deliver an action-based film keeping up with his larger-than-life image. Of course, I could weave a love story again but this time I'll blend action into it to cater to young Telugu heroes. Nonetheless, I wish to dish out more slam-bang action movies with big stars.
Q: Your movies always boast of good music? What’s the secret?
A: Firstly, I love good music. Secondly, I think I have possessed the knack for selecting good tunes for chartbusters. I also thank my composers for giving me good albums which were lapped up by music buffs. I like to listen to both soft and peppy numbers and also I could instantly like or dislike a song.
