Allu Arjun's Duvvada Jagannadham' leaked online, producers file complaint

The Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police has booked a case under the IT Act.

Hyderabad: The producers of DJ, starring Allu Arjun, lodged a complaint with the CCS police on Wednesday against those who have leaked a pirated version of the film online.

Producer Dil Raju and director Hari Shankar alleged that unknown persons have uploaded the entire movie on Facebook and YouTube, and have widely shared the links on social media platforms.

The Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police has booked a case under the IT Act.

Dil Raju’s complaint says that the offenders have created five or more fake accounts on Facebook and YouTube recently for the purpose of uploading the movie. “Using those accounts, the offenders have uploaded the film’s pirated version,” Dil Raju said.

The pirated version has been produced by shooting the film with a handy camera in a theatre. “Unlike the case of Bahubali, which was also leaked online, the quality of the pirated version of DJ is not good. That indicates that it might have been shot in a theatre,” said ACP Raghuveer of the Cyber Crime police.

“We are tracking the IP addresses from where the movie was uploaded,” said Mr Raghuveer.

In the case of Baahubali the police arrested many people, including a theatre owner, who had uploaded content online and had tried to blackmail the producers of the movie.
