Actor Gopichand who started off on quite a remarkable note in the industry with negative roles in Jayam, Varsham and Nijam is set to take the baddie route again. We had earlier reported that the actor would be seen in a dual role in his next film, Gautam Nanda, which is being directed by Sampath Nandi. Turns out, one of the characters will have negative shades.
“The film is a complete commercial-entertainer, and both the characters will be poles apart in terms of nature. Gopichand, who has been reeling under a spate of flops, has decided to take things slowly, and has put in a lot of effort to show the transition in terms of his characterisation,” reveals a source.
Elaborating on the baddie’s character, the source adds, “It’s a very mean character and will take Gopichand’s admirers down the memory lane.”
Catherine Tresa and Hansika Motwani play the female leads while J. Bhagwan and Pulla Rao are bankrolling it.
