Tollwood’s own chick flick!

Debutant director Balu Adusumilli talks about his upcoming film, Anukunnadhi Okkati Ayyindhi Okkati.

Anukunnadhi Okkati Ayyindhi Okkati by debutant director Balu Adusumilli seems to be hitting all the right notes. The chick-flick, starring Dhanya Balakrishna, Tridha Choudhury, Siddhi Idnani and Komalee Prasad, is set for release on February 7.

About the crime comedy, Balu shares, “The film is about how the lives of four young urban women, who jet off to their friend’s destination wedding in Goa, changes. The plotline is actually inspired from a real-life incident, but I have tweaked it to make it interesting.”

Then talking about the screenplay and narrative of the film, the director assures us that they will keep the audiences on the edge of their seats.

“The dialogues, too, are very colloquial — more like conversations that young women will easily connect to,” Balu says, adding, “We had a workshop and reading sessions before going into shoot so that the actresses could bond. That bonding will be very evident on the screens.”

Balu then goes on to describe the shoot for the film as a great experience.

“All the four women provided great support, without which we couldn’t have wrapped up the film in time,” he says, adding, “Also, I am grateful to my wife and producer Hima Velagapudi for sharing a lot of my burden. Her support has been crucial.”
