Sreeleela is on a movie signing spree and with Bhagavanth Kesari becoming a blockbuster, the actress has established her position as the most sought-after actress to play the female lead in Tollywood movies. In an exclusive interview with Deccan Chronicle talks about all things film.
Within a short span, you have signed up movies with all the top stars. What gave you so much confidence to pull it off?
Wasn’t a very confident person myself, but over the days the teams that I’ve worked with gave me the confidence and they trust me, so I’m aware of that and make sure that I deliver the best
Nandamuri Balakrishna is a seasoned actor with a legacy too, how was it sharing screen space with him?
It was amazing! Specially the time between the shots explaining the times when they used to shoot without monitors, caravans etc about that era of cinema it was a knowledge gaining experience
Tell us about your first day experience on the sets with Balakrishna
Obviously, I was very scared. But after I met him and spent some time on the sets, I realized that there is no need to be scared
Tell us about Balakrishna 's working style. What is he like on the sets?
He’s very chill. He doesn’t want you to be conscious. Once he’s on the set, he doesn’t usually go back to his caravan. He also doesn’t use the umbrella, he likes the sun
We have seen a lot of videos of you sharing a great rapport with Balakrishna, how did that happen
I think it happened organically. We used to spend a lot of time on sets and we just connected.
You may have shot a couple of scenes with Mahesh for Guntur Kaaram. Could you share your experience
It is an amazing experience. I think I’ll have a lot to talk about during that release
You are already an established actor in the industry, but if you were to clear your medical degree with flying colors and had to choose between the two professions, which one would it be?
I don’t think I have to choose between two professions. I’ve taken up a challenge to do both simultaneously, the universe has been very kind to me. So, I can do both
Who are your favourite actors in Tollywood
I’m a person who falls in love with the characters I’m currently watching. So, it keeps changing day to day

Everyone says you are a great dancer. Which actor, according to you is the best dancer in Tollywood?
There are so many great dancers. Jr. NTR garu, Ram charangaru, Allu Arjun garu, many more
Sandalwood or Tollywood, which one do you prefer and why?
Sandalwood was where I was born in films and Tollywood made it home. I can’t choose one.
An aspect of Balakrishna that no one knows and should know
Just be very easy and calm when you are with him
Bengaluru or Hyderabad which one is home for you
I think both because people love me in both the places
