Well-known producer, distributor and a good friend of S.S. Rajamouli, Sai Korrapati has struck a huge deal for the distribution rights of Baahubali — The Conclusion. It is learnt that he has acquired the rights of the film for Vizag, Krishna and Ceded, and is also in talks to distribute the film in Karnataka.
While Korrapati confirmed the news without divulging any other details, a source tells us, “He has spent nearly Rs 48.5 crore on the film’s right in the said regions of Andhra Pradesh. The first film has collected an amount higher than that and because it did well, expectations are riding high on the sequel. This is a good deal.”
“Karnataka is a huge market for Telugu films and Baahubali 2 will be sold for no less than Rs 30 crore. He is considering buying the rights,” the source informs. The pre-release business of the film has been immense with the Nizam rights being sold for around Rs 50 crore recently.
