Ever since the filmmakers released the title and look of the latest Keerthy Suresh film, the mobile of Narendra Nath Yaddanapudi, the film’s director, has been buzzing incessantly. “I am overwhelmed with the response, and it has been my best birthday gift ever,” reveals the filmmaker who turns a year old on Tuesday.
Talking about the film, Narendra, who was born in Gudivada, shares, “The film showcases an interesting portrayal of a girl who achieves what she wanted. Generally, Miss India is perceived as the prototype girl of the Next Gen, with renewed spirit, but my film showcases the other dimension of the pageant show. It doesn’t have anything to do with fashion industry.”
We are curious about the other side, but he merely replies, “That’s the surprise; watch it on the silver screen.”

Narendra further explains, “Tarun Kumar and I had penned the story four years back, but we were waiting for the right actress to portray the larger-than-life role.”
Justifying his move to cast the National Award winning actress as the leading lady, he says, “Keerthy can fit into any role naturally, be it assertive, energetic, bubbly, chirpy or quirky. Her character in this film has several layers and shades. So I believe she’s the best fit.”
Narendra says he didn’t experience any stress to direct Keerthy after Mahanati. “I had narrated the story to Keerthy much before the biopic on the late actress Savitri went on floors, and I have stuck to my original script,” he adds as he signs off.
