It's a proud moment for me: Brahmaji

He recalled that when he entered the film industry looking for roles, he first met Allu Aravind.

Sunday evening was an emotional one for actor Brahmaji who received the Allu Ramalingaiah Award from Allu Aravind. “It’s a proud moment for me and a bit emotional too,” said the versatile actor on his big achievement.

He recalled that when he entered the film industry looking for roles, he first met Allu Aravind. “I was introduced to Allu Aravind garu, who then introduced me to Chiranjeevi garu. They recommended me for a few films at that time,” he said.

The actor went on to feature in several small roles in the early part of his career, but finally got recognition with the film Gulabi (1995) directed by Krishna Vamsi. “I still remember when I met Chiranjeevi garu at an event, he specially called me to appreciate my work in that film,” said Brahmaji, who added, “And it was Allu Aravind who asked Pawan Kalyan to take me in the film Johnny.”

Interestingly, Brahmaji has acted with both the present generation of actors as well as the previous one. From Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna and Venkatesh to Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun, the veteran actor has performed with all of them. “It’s the directors who create different roles for me and I thank them for choosing me,” said Brahmaji, who has essayed various roles in Telugu films.
