Naga Shaurya goes on diet and workout for his next
Naga Shaurya is one of the most talented actors that Telugu Cinema can currently boast of.
He has been dieting and working out to be in shape for upcoming roles, and flaunts his six-pack for a film on archery directed by Santosh Jagarlapudi.
“I have been working for the last seven months for this role,” says Naga Shaurya.
“After the lockdown was announced, for the last four months, I have been maintaining a diet of boiled vegetables and chicken. As south Indians, we have a lot of rice.
But I managed to slowly remove rice from my diet,” he explained, adding, “It is difficult, but I decided to be dedicated to the regimen for the sake of the role.” When director Santosh narrated the script to him, he was inspired, and decided to work on his physique, the actor shares. “It’s not a biopic, it’s a complete commercial film, but it’s a realistic story,” explains Shaurya.
The actor has been doing floor exercises, and he will continue to do the same till shooting resumes.
“The six pack is like a wife,” he explains. “If you cheat on it, you will lose it.” Talking about his other projects, he says he has completed 40 per cent of Avasarala Srinivasa Rao’s film.
“Further shooting will have to be done in the US, so we have to wait,” he says. He has another film with Sithara Entertainment and one with producer Mahesh Koneru.
